One of my favorite verses from the Christian Bible is one that says, “Be faithful in little things and you will be accorded Bigger things” or something along those lines. I believe in celebrating little success, no matter how small. If you have visited this blog more than 3 times, then this post is dedicated to you. I intend to go on the down low beginning today, as I prepare for what promises to be a great year for Intervangelist EA in 2011. Lots of ideas, too little time to execute them, but one step at a time and we will get there.
So ladies and gentlemen, here are my best Moments of 2010!! Continue reading ‘Monday Moments Ep 11 – The Best 7 of 2010!!’
Monday Moments Ep 9 – Mobile, Mobile, Mobile!

I Love my job!! That’s not something I hear many people saying about their jobs (probably the reason why most of us revere Entrepreneurs like little gods). I believe that for someone to Love what they do, be it in employment or even if they own a business, three things must be; Challenge, Fulfillment, Growth. Without challenges to overcome, you will never get to experience the joy of fulfillment. With no fulfillment, growth eludes you like a shadow.
Last week I came into close contact with some very important people in the local mobile industry. Kiran from Interactive Marketing Services (one of the pioneers of mobile content and TV Game shows in Kenya), Susan from Cellulant (No. 1 in the 2008 Top 100 mid sized company awards), Mwaniki from Mocality.com (the mobile directory company that’s taking the local scene by storm) and of course Hon. Eng James Rege, the e-Mheshimiwa who I blogged about last week. Today’s Monday Moments is 95% Mobile just to warn you in advance 🙂 Continue reading ‘Monday Moments Ep 9 – Mobile, Mobile, Mobile!’
Monday Moments Ep 6 – Girls Rule!!

As unnatural as that title might sound coming from a male, it has never felt more appropriate to scream from the top of my voice; Girls Rule!! From my encounters with the Nokia ladies at one end of the city, to watching the iHub ladies on the other end trouncing 17 other male dominated teams in the quest for Kshs 1 Million venture funding, I was humbled by how well our tech sisters are doing in this field.
The Tech field is so dominated by three legged creatures that for a long time it has been almost terrifying for any lady trying to venture into it. The hostile stares, the ridicule, the hate speech; I have seen (and sometimes even took part in) it. I will tell you this my friends; the Tech ladies who I had the pleasure of meeting last week were not just intelligent; they were BEAUTIFUL!! Continue reading ‘Monday Moments Ep 6 – Girls Rule!!’

Interesting doesn’t begin to express the week I had. From having to come up with a dazzling digital marketing proposal for a billion shilling company, to having to finish off a trendy website within hours, to realizing that there could finally be a business title for the things I do (my business card still reads internet consultant for lack of a better title), it was a week to cherish.
So what caught my attention this past week? Continue reading ‘Monday Moments Ep 4 – What next after Social Networks?’
Monday Moments Ep 3 – We are Robots!

In the past few weeks, I have been introduced to such terminologies as Augmented Reality, QR Codes, Context Computing and a bunch of other words that leave you thirsty for an unholy drink. As if that’s not bad enough, I had to help explain these words to people who are still trying to understand what SEO is. Fun Huh? Not a bit. But it was an interesting experience. Monday Moments – Who wants to be a Millionaire?

Christmas is coming early for most people this Year! Zain and Safaricom are at it again, like big boys! While they do that, their dealers are crying foul for being the victims in this tag of war. All I know is, I can now call, and call, and call…and then check my balance just to be sure it’s not a hoax. I have had an interesting week at work, really interesting. Just read on… Continue reading ‘Monday Moments – Who wants to be a Millionaire?’
